Reopening and COVID-19 changes

We are delighted to be opening on Monday the 13th of July following our closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Whilst we are very excited to welcome guests back to our beautiful rural setting, our primary concern is how we can do this safely for all our guests, ourselves, and our community.

We have signed up to the ‘Safer Stays’ initiative which has been launched by our booking agency. As a result we have had to make some changes to the cottages, facilities and the way we interact with guests.  This has altered the appearance of the cottages, which usually look much more homely with many books, cushions and ornaments.  We normally also provide a folder called ‘Out and About’ which has lots of information about things to do in the area, including removable copies of walks and drives.  As so many of our previous guests have mentioned how helpful this folder is, we have tried to put as much of this information on our website under the ‘Guest Information’ section. However, we are more than happy to print you off a paper copy of a walk or drive when you are staying with us - just let us know!

If in the course of your holiday you need to speak to me (Ed) you can either ring, text or email me on my mobile phone which will be on at all times (you can also have a chat if you see me or my wife Jennie around the grounds). My contact details can be found in all the cottages.

When you depart it would minimise the risk of infection if you could strip the bed and put your used bed linen inside a pillowcase for collection later.  Please also open as many windows as possible and leave the front door open with the key in the door.  Arrival and departure times have been adjusted to 4pm check in and 9am check out to give our experienced cleaners more time to ensure that everything inside the cottage is thoroughly cleaned and sanitised.

We hope all our guests enjoy their stay, even in these strange times, and we aim to help you do that safely. We look forward to seeing you here soon!
